Don't look for dirt on The Dial Corporation -- it's squeaky clean right down to its sausages. Dial makes one of the top-selling soaps (namesake Dial) in the US, and it has leading brands in each of its four core product segments -- personal care products (Dial, Coast, Pure & Natural, Tone), laundry products (20 Mule Team, Borateem, Fels Naptha, Purex, Sta-Flo, Trend), air fresheners (Renuzit), and food products (Armour-brand chili, hash, potted meat, sliced dried beef, Vienna sausages). It also makes corn starch and boxed pizza meals. Facing increased competition worldwide, Dial became a subsidiary of Henkel KGaA in March 2004. Brad Casper replaced president and CEO Herb Baum, who retired in April.
