McCormick & Co, Incorporated. The Group's principal activities are to manufacture, market and distribute spices, herbs, seasonings, flavorings and other specialty food products. Through subsidiaries it manufactures and markets specialty plastic packaging products. It operates in three segments: Consumer segment sells spices, herbs, extracts, proprietary seasoning blends, sauces and marinades to the consumer food market. Industrial segment sells spices, herbs, extracts, proprietary seasonings, condiments, coatings and compound flavors to food processors, restaurant chains, distributors and warehouse clubs. Packaging segment sells plastic bottles and tubes to food, personal care and other industries. It has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Australia and China. On 08-Jan-2003, it acquired Uniqsauces and on 04-Jun-2003, acquired Zatarain. Food products accounted for 93% (Consumer, 47% and Industrial, 46%) of 2002 revenues and Packaging products, 7%.
