Lowrance Electronics, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture, market and distribute SONARs and global positioning system (GPS) navigational equipment and other marine electronic products and various related accessories. The Group's SONARs, known as depth-sounders and fish-finders, are used by sports fishermen for detecting the presence of fish and by sports fishermen and boaters as navigational and safety devices for determining bottom depth in lakes, rivers and coastal waters. The GPS receivers are used in a variety of marine and non-marine applications including aviation, hunting, hiking and backpacking. The trademarks used by the Group are Lowrance and Eagle. The products of the Group are marketed to Canada and Australia. SONAR systems accounted for 76% of fiscal 2002 revenues; Related Accessories, 15% and Global Positioning Systems, 9%.
