The Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Romanian Academy, founded more than 50 years ago, have a rich experience in the domain of organic synthesis, in the hydrocarbons chemistry and in heterocyclic compounds chemistry. Our domain of expertize includes both fine organic synthesis (scents and odorants, pesticides, drugs and intermediates) and development of technologies for large scale chemical industry (nytrofurane, chlorinated solvents, chloroacetyl chloride, propenoxyde-styrene, alylic alcohol, acetonytrile, etc). One of the most complex projects realized by our researchers is the complete synthesis, at laboratory scale, of vitamin E for veterinary use.
