Because in this area cases of depression are more rare than in other places on Earth, researchers think that the Mediterranean diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, cereals and olive oil help in maintaining a healthy state of mind.

Although depression does not depend only on one factor, a right diet is the first and most efficient step in preventing, but also in treating moderate cases of depression. Many times, the lack of vitamins, minerals and fat acids might cause or can help with the appearance of depression.

Spanish researchers from the Universities of Las Palmas and Navarra have studied a group of 10.084 people over a course of four years and they discovered that people that followed a Mediterranean diet were 30% less predisposed to depression.

A similar study has conducted in England, and the results were the same: people on Mediterranean diet were 30% less depressive.

“it’s very possible that this combination of omega 3 fat acids, along with other unsaturated fats and antioxidants from olive oil and nuts, but also group B vitamins in classic Mediterranean diet  to have a protective effect against depression” the coordinators of the study that took place in Spain said.

Selenium Rich foods

Studies also shown that there is a strong connection between the appearance of depression and the low level of selenium in the body. Cereals, meat, eggs and nuts are important selenium sources.

The recommended daily quantity of selenium is 0.06 mg for women and 0.07 mg for men.

Fish

Fat acids that can be found in fish are essential for the health of the heart, brain,but also for our our metal health.

Omega 3 and Omega 6 are nutrients that cannot be produced by the body, and the only way to get a good quantity is a rich diet of fat fish like tuna, macro, but also in pumpkin seeds.

Green Vegetables

Some studies have demonstrate a tight connection between the low level of group B vitamins and some metal problems.

The folic acid, one of the group B vitamins, is essential in preventing depression, research has proved that a low level of folic acid might even reduce the efficiency of anti depressive medication.

Alcohol

Coffee

This type of drug, also known as MDMA, helps patients be less scared during therapy sessions, determining them to become more communicative.

Patients have received these pills during 8 psychotherapy sessions.

Researchers have noticed that 10 out of 12 volunteers that took the Ecstasy drug have no longer presented the symptoms described in the medical definition of the post traumatic stress disorder.

Also, the scientists said that the subjects had no side effects to the treatment.

The study was created by researchers from Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies in Santa Cruz, California.

Psychiatrist Michael Mithoefer, the coordinator of the project said that, although Ecstasy was used in the past for recreational purposes, world wide psychiatrists often used it during sessions to stimulate the medical progress of their patients.

The therapies used in the case of the post traumatic stress disorder were in reliving the trauma, during therapy sessions, and they are not effective if the patient is full of emotions that cannot be processed or if that person is “asleep” emotionally.

MDMA helps patients reach an optimum state for therapy and it also helps them to better process the trauma, without being overwhelmed by feelings, Dr. Mithoefer also said.

Then they applied a fluorescent colorant that determined the assembly of cores from the cells to simply shine when it was illuminated with the help of the fiber optics fascicle.

Cancer and pre cancer cells are usually pretty deformed and they can be seen even on the screen of a LCD camera.

What’s the next step? Well, the implementation of a software application that might help general doctors to identify cancer calls, without asking the help of oncology doctors.

Still, what makes this research really remarkable is the fact that it can be repeated again, at very low costs.

Drugs manage to substitute themselves to certain chemical products that are produced naturally by the human body, that are indispensable to the survival mechanisms like eating or reproduction. In a healthy brain, the perception of desire, even if this is a plate of food or a potential sex partner, actives a specific sequence, regulated by these natural substances.

Drugs that are artificially inserted in our body, are making this process to block itself, the derived pleasure from the consumption is more intense than the one produced normally by the body. For example, it is said that the sensations produced by heroin can be more intense than an orgasm, it’s no wonder that heroin manages to be a substitute for sex. Also, other physiological stimuli like hunger, are not received as they should be, the only necessity is the drugs. Short term effects: using small dosages may produce attention disorders and motor coordination, and it also modifies the way the brain processes information.

In 1999, in Florida, a man who apparently entered at night in the park to swim, was found dead, the bruises on his body indicated that Tilikum hit the man against the pool’s walls, according to The Human Society.
