Atrua Technologies offers a true assessment of fingerprints and finger movements. The company, which was founded in 2000, develops fingerprint imaging sensors and related fingerprint recognition algorithms. These products are used in mobile phones, PDAs, handheld video games, and other portable electronic devices. Besides enabling fingerprint-based user authentication, the sensors and software also allow touch-based navigation and control. Atrua's investors include Acer Technology Ventures, BlueRun Ventures, Ericsson Venture Partners, and Intel Capital. The company has offices in Belgium, Japan, Singapore, and the US.

The BG in BG Group stands for British Gas, but BG Group finds not only gas -- but also oil -- all over the world. In addition to conducting its core oil and gas exploration and production operations, it is involved in the downstream operations of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, gas transmission and distribution, and power generation. The group is one of the largest exploration and production companies operating in the North Sea, and it has proved reserves of 2.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) and an annual production averaging 166.8 million boe.
