As a student, it is always hard to make sure that my voice is heard in the way that I want it to be…if at all. Especially with everything happening lately with the Arizona shootings as well as the bombing in Russia. We have opinions too! Well, now is our chance to get our voices and our questions heard by the Obama administration in one of his upcoming speeches. How do you go about getting your question to him? Simple, upload a video of you asking the question to youtube.com!
It may seem like its too good to be true but it’s not. The videos with the most views/votes will get their questions aired on national television as well as get their questions answered once and for all. This type of opportunity doesn’t come along as often as we would like for it to, but it is giving us proof that Obama and his stance with “be the change” isn’t all talk.
But what kind of questions will we be asking? Are people more concerned about the latest changes to his healthcare plan, or do people want to know more about his education plans. His state of the union address, much like most of them in the past, tended to stay upbeat with positive regard to his latest initiatives and the progress of his most recent ones. But all of the things he talked about seemed to be the “usual” and go over a lot of heads. It seems that there are always changes being made to our administration as well as our government actions that we don’t have any control over. This is our opportunity to speak up and say what we want to say and draw attention to the things that ‘we the people’ feel are important.
