The Beatles, the most influential band of the last 50 years

The legendary British band, The Beatles, was voted during an international poll who’s results were released yesterday as the most influential name in the music history of the last 50 years, despite the fact that 25 years ago the band members were just starting their career.

The Beatles received 27,4% of the votes. The the following places we can find other two British bands, Queen ( 19,6% ) and Rolling Stones ( 10.5% ).

In the same poll, the song “Bohemian Rhapsody”, performed by Queen was voted as the most representative ballad of rock music, and on the following places we can find songs like “Stairway to Heaven” performed by Led Zeppelin and ” I would do anything for love”, performed by Meat Loaf.

When asked ” What do you believe is the most revolutionary moment of rock history” most users responded: ” Woodstock, 1968″.
