It was clear, even since it was announced, that StarCraft 2 is going to be a huge success. The fact that so many people are buying the game is not a surprise for anyone. For the sake of statistics however, only in the first 24 hours since the release 1 million StarCraft 2 game DVD’s were sold.
Blizzard has proved once again that they don’t only know how to make memorable games, but they also know how to sell their products. While other developers are complaining because they don’t earn any money because of the pirated games that appear on the Internet, StarCraft 2 has become the best sold strategy game of all times. In the first two days, 1.5 million units were sold.
And we know that many other gamers are getting ready to buy the game. So it would be nice to see a statistic from Blizzard let’s say, one week for now. I am sure the number of sold copies is going to be tripled. I know I will buy the game, how about you?
