Mobile Web Browsers: Windows Phone 7 vs Nexus One vs iPhone

Share

There is a heavy competition between mobile operating system, so it’s only natural to also have a great competition between their web browsers.

The video below shows you the differences between the web browser of an LG phone that runs on Windows 7, a web browser on Nexus One that runs on Froyo ( Android 2.2 ) and the one of an iPhone that runs, of course, on the iOS operating system from Apple.

We have to mention the fact that the Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft is not 100% finished, and the LG phone is not the final device that the operating system will run on.

The Windows Phone 7 web browser seams to be going in the right direction. The Tab management is very fast ( you can load multiple tabs simultaneously ), the site’s loading time is similar to the one of  competing mobile web browsers, and panning, scrolling and zooming are controlled very well.

If we were to add HTML 5 and Flash Support, Internet Explorer will be a hell of a mobile browser on Windows Phone 7.
