When it comes to sending images and photos by email, most Gmail users use the “Attach a file” option, and the images will be displayed in the lower side of our messages.
By using the “Inserting Images” addon from Google Labs we have the option to insert a photo in the content of our email messages. After the “inserting images” activation, the new option will be present in the text editor of Gmail.
But how do we activate the “Inserting Images” option in Gmail ? Go to your Gmail account, in the upper ride side near the email address click on the Settings link.
In the Settings menu click on Labs.
In Gmail Labs search and enable Inserting Images. Click on Save Changes, after you checked the option.
Now you can send photos and images in the content of your email messages, without using the “attach a file” option. Click on Compose Mail and in the editor bar you will notice that Insert Image option appeared.
After you click on Insert Image, a dialog option will open in which you have the option to upload a photo from your computer, or a photo that is located on the Internet. In the case in which you want to upload a photo from your PC, to leave the My Computer option checked and then click on Choose.
Select the photo from your computer and when the upload process has finished click on OK to insert it in your email messages.
Once inserted in the body of your email message, you have the option to increase or decrease the photo and you can also position it as you like.
Now all you have to do is send the message.
