Do you remember when we said that Google Nexus One is dead? Forget it! Google Nexus One now lives it’s second childhood, with another role and a different name. It’s new name will be Dev Phone.
We don’t know if Google changed it’s mind, or if they decided this a long time ago and they only announced it now. What is sure is that Google Nexus One will not be completely forgotten. It will reincarnate itself under the name of Dev Phone and it will still be available on the market.
Like you can probably figure out from the name, Dev Phone will be a software experimental mobile phone. It will always run on the newest Google Android version, with the newest features, even in the Beta stage.
Google Dev Phone is dedicated to programmers, which will be able to test their applications on the newest version of the operating system and to that category of users that always want to be able to use the newest software versions.
The Google Dev Phone can be purchased by people that are or will register themselves as applications developers for Google Android operating system. The price of Dev Phone is $529 USD.
