This is why the news according to which Electronic Arts is working on a new series for 2011 should reignite the gamers interest for the racing game.
So, according to a financial EA report, the new NFs version will be named Need for Speed: Shift 2 and it is scheduled to be released in January-March 2011.
From what it looks like, the new game will be developed by Slighty mad Studio, which also developed NFS Shift.
However, gamers that want a bit of adrenaline do not have to wait for Shift 2 to come out. NFS Hot Pursuit, developed along with the people from Criterion Games will be released this Autumn.
