Gamescom is a fair dedicated to computer entertainment, with a relatively short history ( the first edition took place in 2009 ), but which managed to become the biggest event of this industry, becoming more important than the famous E3 which is organized in Los Angeles.
During 18 – 22 August, in Koln, the second Gamescom edition takes place ( Gamescom 2010 ) where almost 250.000 guests are expected to attend.
Some of the world renowned companies that will show off their latest achievements and future plans are Activision, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Ubisoft and Take Two Interactive.
The event has only just opened and the first announcements have made visitors very happy. They are games that will make gamers stay in front of the monitors for hours! And Gamescom has just begin! Here are some of the most important titles that were announced so far.
Ubisoft will release Heroes of Might and Magic VI in 2010
Microsoft is working on a new flight simulator – Microsoft Flight
And also Microsoft reminds us that they are the one that developed Age of Empires. The famous RTS continues with a new title: Age of Empires Online.
Dragon Age II, the sequel of the appreciated RPG Fantasy Dragon Age: Origins will be released on March 11, 2011.
Lost Planet 2 is going to be released on October 15, 2010
Crysis 2 appears on March 25, 2010 and it will be available in two special editions: Limited Edition and Nano Edition.
Electronic Arts says that Need For Speed Hot Pursuit will also get a Limited version, which will include six legendary cars
