Each application we install on our computer makes registry changes by adding their own registry keys. Registry that have the bad habit not to  “go away” with the applications when we decided to uninstall them, which may lead to an useless registry build ups that lower the performance of our system.

It will require a great deal of time to try to manually identify the useless registry and remove them from the system, we need to periodically check them using a registry cleaner program that will remove all the registry of the applications that were once installed on our computer. But, although these programs are very helpful to Windows users, they cannot guarantee a complete cleaning, and useless registry that remain in our system can be such a hassle, causing many problems.

WhatChanged is a free portable applications ( it does not require registration and this application will not add its registry to our system ) that monitors the registry changes that are made in our system, this way helping us identify the registry left behind by the uninstalled applications.

How does WhatChanged works ?

After you install the application and select the registry categories you want this program to monitor ( we recommend that you monitor all the registry in your system ), it creates a first log that contains details abut existent registry.

Each time a new application is installed, WhatChanged creates another log in which you can find the exact registry changes appeared: adding new ones or the modification of existing registry. This way, users will be able to quickly identify the registry created by different applications, and they can be easily found in order to remove them after an application has been uninstalled.
