There are times when, out of the blue, you notice that your sweet LCD monitor has a “dead” pixel. This pixel can be either blocked ( it remains fixed on one color ) or it can be “dead” it turns black.
There are chances that the respective pixel might be really dead, but in 90% of cases it can be repaired.
If you own an apple computer, go to the first Apple store you can find. It’s possible that they might replace your screen with a new one, even if it only has one dead pixels. Other stores require 5-8 dead pixels in order to replace the screen. However your product should still be covered by warranty before you to go the store.
If your warranty ran out then you have to repair the screen on your own. Follow the instructions below.
- shutdown the computer
- restart it
- apply some pressure with piece of cloth on the dead pixels
- remove the cloth when the computer has booted
Hopefully this might solve your dead pixels problems.
