Let’s say that you have a temporary router problem and the switch suddenly broke down and now you only have internet connection on one PC in your household. It’s not a very nice scenario, right? Especially since two or more people are using that connection. It’s not like you will make a schedule for computer use in the house, right?

Well, Microsoft thought about possible situations like this and gave Windows a very nice feature: the possibility to create Wireless networks using as one of your computers as a router. But how do you actually create a wireless connection between two or more PCs ? Well, read on..

- open the Start Menu and type wireless in the search field, then click on Manage Wireless Networks.

- in that Window, click on Add to add a new wireless network.

- click on Create an Ad Hoc Network then click on Next

- pick the name of the ad hoc network then also pick the type of security ( WPA is the most hardest to hack ), type in a password and check Save this network, then wait for the network to be created.

After you created the network go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections and right click on Wireless Network Connection and select Properties.  In the Sharing tab check Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection then click on Settings and select the services that the computer that connects to this network can use.

That’s it. After the network has been created, it will be accessed by other PC’s in your household.
