Earth was formed in 100 million years, according to scientists.

A new geological study established that Earth is much younger, according to scientists.

Researchers claim that their investigations showed that Earth is 70 million years younger than what we initially believed, 4,537 billion years.

To confirm the age of Earth, the team compared elements from the planet’s crust with those from meteorites that have the same age as the Solar System.

Collisions have made the planet to melt and allowed metal to focus in the center of the Earth and form the core. During this process the planet spread in the metal core” said Dr John Rudge from the Cambridge University.

The professor also said that Earth was formed, most likely, in a process that required 100 million years to complete.
