Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi was bron in Torino, Italy, in 1967 and is the heir of the fortune of the CEAT tire company, founded by her father. Carla moved when she was very young to France, and when she was 7 she went to school in Switzerland.
The beautiful Carla Bruni then went to Paris, to study art and architecture, however when she was 19 she dropped out of school to pursue her modeling career.

After Princeton, she went to Harvard to study law. She met Barack Obama at a law firm where they worked together. Michelle was asked to help Obama, as an associate. Their relationship started with a business lunch. The two got married in 1992 and are the parents of two girls.

Since she is the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama has become a role model regarding fashion. She likes to wear the creations of designers like Calvin Klein and Oscar de la Renta, but she encourages young Hispanic and African-American designers. The first lady of the United States appeared on the Vogue cover in March 2009.
