Apple is pretty proud of their new iPhone 4 for, and of the Retina Display about which they claim it’s four times better than the display of iPhone 3GS, and the most advanced display on the market right now.
Besides that, the new phone comes with the IPS technology for a more varied range of colors and high resolution, and Steve Jobs, president of Apple, said that the visual experience of iPhone can be compared to the quality of a printed magazine.
But, Samsung does not agree with Apple and has another opinion..
According to a Samsung Spokesman, Retina Display offers a clarity of images of only 3 to 5% compared to AMOLED display that can be found on Samsung Galaxy S phone. On the other hand, the energy iPhone requires because of this display is 30% higher.
Another argument provided by Samsung is that their displays have a better contrast and superior viewing angles compared to those found on the iPhone phones. Also, from their point of view, the IPS LCD technology used by Apple is old, compared to AMOLED dispays which can only be defined as the best for smartphones today.
