During the Nokia Connection Event, that took place in Singapore, Nokia announced the release, in the near future, of a new phone, very different from all the Nokia phones that were released until now.
Nokia X5-01 is a slide phone shaped as a square and will be available on the market in different colors. The phone is especially developed for music, runs on the Symbian S60 operating system and has a 2.36 inch display with QVGA resolution, but without touch functions.
Also, the new smartphone has a slide QWERTY keyboard, 5 MP photo camera with 4X digital zoom and LED and supports social networking services, instant messaging and email.
Nokia X5-01 has a 200 MB internal memory, being able to be extended with the help of microSD cards of up to 32GB. Also, According to Nokia, the life span of the battery is 16 days in stand-by mode and 24 hours in audio playback.
Which is really special about this smartphone is the fact that the user may be a real DJ when using this phone. It can be turned to change the song, or shaken to read the incoming messages.
Nokia X5-01 will be released at first in Indonesia, at an estimated price of 165 EURO, without taxes. The availability of the phone in other countries has not been made public by Nokia so far.

Nokia X5-01 este un telefon slide de forma patrata si va ajunge pe piata intr-o varietate de culori. Telefonul este dezvoltat special pentru functii muzicale, ruleaza pe sistemul de operare Symbian S60 si are un display de 2.36 inci cu rezolutie QVGA, dar care nu are functii touch.

De asemenea, smartphone-ul dispune de o tastatura QWERTY glisanta, camera de 5 MP cu zoom digital 4X si blitz LED si suporta servicii de social networking, mesagerie instant si e-mail.

Nokia X5-01 are o memorie integrata de 200 MB, aceasta putand fi extinsa cu carduri microSD de pana la 32 GB. De asemenea, potrivit Nokia, durata bateriei este de 16 zile in stand-by si de 24 de ore in playback audio.

Ceea ce e cu adevarat deosebit la acest smartphone (vezi video), este faptul ca utilizatorul sau se poate crede un adevarat DJ atunci cand foloseste telefonul. Acesta poate fi invartit pentru schimbarea melodiei, sau scuturat pentru a putea citi mesajele primite.
Nokia X5-01 va fi lansat, in prima faza, in Indonezia la un pret estimativ de 165 de euro fara taxele suplimentare ale operatorilor. Disponibilitatea telefonului in celalalte regiuni ale lumii nu a fost facuta publica de catre Nokia, inca.
