Director Quentin Tarantino will make a movie based on the myth of Count Dracula, which he intends to film in Austria, where he will recently go to look for castles.
Tarantino will spend four days in Austria to visit the castles found in the Kreuzenstein region. These castles ware once part of the set of the Season of the Witch movie, starring Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman, which will be released this year.
That region is a mountain region, with many castles and suitable landscapes.
Two other Dracula movies are in the works at Hollywood, one is directed by Alex Proyas ( Dracula: Year One) produced by Universal and another one, produced by Brad Pitt ( Vlad ), which will be produced by the Summit Entertainment production house, and directed by Anthony Mandler.
Until now, Dracula Legend inspired more than 100 movies. The most popular one is the movie from 1931, with Bela Lugosi in the main role, and the one made in 1992 by Francis Ford Coppola, starring Gary Oldman. The majority of movie scripts were inspired by the Dracula novel written by Bram Stoker.
