Palm was purchased by HP

In just a week, Palm contacted 16 companies, out of them only give sent some serious offers. The only one that is mentioned in documents is HP, who actually managed to buy Palm.

After many rounds of negotiations with the major players on the IT market, Palm was eventually purchased at the end of April by HP, the value of the transaction is around 1.2 billion dollars.

This purchase comes as a consequence of the major financial problems of Palm. For example, the loses in the third quarter of 2009 are situated in the 22 million dollars area.

HP has also bought the WebOS platform, which was developed by Palm.
