Online ID cards for people who post comments from China

China might prepare another surprise for almost one third of it’s citizens that are using the Internet. The people over at the Press Bureau of the State Council are working with the idea of creating online identity cards. You will not longer have the possibility to hide behind your nickname and comments the Party’s decisions on news sites. The party wants to know who the real posters of comments are.

China is a country with a lot of extremes, however most of them are negatives. They have the biggest population in the world and, the biggest number of Internet users.Although their economy was on the plus during the world wide economical crises, a lot of the products that are made in China are copies of products made in the West. For its citizens, the Chinese government developed an internet filter to eliminate sensible information from the Internet, information that discredited the Government. The Government long hand also had an influence on Google, to filter the search results, however the US company didn’t wanted to be manipulated.

After bloggers from China had to make their identity public, now the normal internet user has to do the same.
