Google announced the release of a new Google search engine with a new level of protection. The search engine from Google now includes SSL, a feature that has become classic for products like Gmail or Google Docs, but it’s something very new in the search market.
You can see the new change by the presence in the browser of the “https” prefix instead of “http”. This method of protection encrypts and protects the information that you send to the respective web sites. This means that people or robots that are monitoring the network will no longer be able to intercept the traffic that you make. This change is very useful for public places, where I am sure that you don’t want the people next to you to see what you are searching for on Google.
Right now Google SSL search is in beta version, however this release only includes the classic search engine, Google Images, all the other services are still using the same insecure protocols. Let’s hope that this problem will be taken care of.
