Shrek Forever After, the forth movie of the famous franchise is now, for the second week in the row, on top of the US Box Office. In the last three days, Shrek 4 grossed 43.3 million dollars and reached a total of 133 million dollars in the US alone.
Sex and the City 2, which was a serious candidate for the number 1 place in the Box Office managed to land only on the second spot with 32,1 million dollars. It looks like the american audience is not so interested anymore in the adventures of Carrie and her friends. Two years ago, the first Sex and the City movie grossed 56,8 million dollars in the first weekend.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time didn’t managed to occupy the first place also. The movie, starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the main role landed on the third spot with 30,1 million dollars gross.
Iron Man 2 went on the forth position, with 16 million dollars gross.
