ASUS released the Eee PC Seashell 1201PN, a special netbook created for those who want a compact portable device, capable to develop multimedia performances similar to laptops available on the market.
The Eee PC Seashell 1201PN offers an exciting multimedia experience, which is a first for netbooks. The model integrates the Intel Atom N450 processor and the new generation of the NVidia ION graphics chip, opening the gates to virtual FULL HD 1080p world. The portable device also has the most spacious display even encountered until now in the Eee PC series, 12.1 inch and it has a panoramic ratio of 16:9 and a 1366 x 768 resolution.
The 1201PN model is also HDMI compatible and integrates the Audio SRS Premium Sound technology with 5.1 virtual channels. The netbook can be connected to a HDTV receiver through the HDMI port to display FULL DO 1080p videos with sounds on 7.1 channels.
Eee PC Seashell 1201PN also includes more preinstalled software applications to enrich the visual experience. For example, ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater offers an intuitive interface and offers a a variety of files formats and codecs. The ArcSoft SimHD utility converts video materials with standard resolution to HD levels and improves the image quality.
Eee PC seashell 1201PN offers a whole new operating experience. Besides the multimedia processing power, the netbook also gives importance to design and comfort details. It’s shapes are round, and the keyboard can be used for many hours without any problems. Photos and web pages and be viewed and scroll without problems even in the absence of a mouse, thanks to a multitouch touchpad that intuitively takes charge. Regarding images, the user can increase or decrease the viewing ratios by using two fingers. Using the same method, pages are easy scrollable, by moving a finger on the touchpad.
As for connectivity, the 1201PN model has Bluetooth v2.1 support to allow users to make Skype calls or listen to music with the help of a wireless receiver. The same technology allows the fast connection of a 3G phone with Bluetooth for internet connection. Also, the 1201PN model offers wireless support.
The Eee PC Seashell 1201 PN comes with 2 GB of RAM memory and a 250 GB hard drive, also offering 500 GB of online storage space in the first year. The Netbook comes with Windows 7 Home premium preinstalled. Users will be able to work without interruption with a battery that has a 6 hours autonomy.
