The Mexican movie star will take the name of her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, to whom she married in 2009, on Valentine’s Day.
So, Salma Hayek will take the name of her husband, and from now on she will be known only as Salma Pinault.
The actress explained that this change is part of a new chapter in her life and that she never been so happy as she is now. The idea of changing her name came to her during a break, when her Daughter, Valentine, 2 years old, asked her what the writing on her chair means, and when Salma said that that’s her name, Salma Hayek, Valentina asked why the chair doesn’t have written on it Salma Pinault.
In march 2009, Salma announced that she is pregnant with Francois-Henri Pinault, and in September she gave birth to their daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault. In 2008, Hayek and Pinault announced the end of their engagement, but they got back together and married in 2009, on Valentine’s Day.
