Even if the announcement regarding Sims 3 for consoles is not news, Electronic Arts officially confirmed the rumors and they released to the press some important details. First, Sims 3 is under development at the new Sims Studio, and it will be available for Play Station 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. We don’t know if there will be any PSP versions, but we hope to receive some more details on this shortly.
Sims 3 will be released in the fall of 2010, after in 2009 has become one of the best seller games for PC. The players will be the opportunity to create their own Sims, with their own personality and aspirations, to control their life and destiny . As a news, gamers will also have “karma powers”, that can be unleashed against Sims from the game. So, the characters might be struck by luck o.r chance, or they could be very unlucky.
Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners will be connected to each other, having the opportunity to share and download their own creations and ideas. To use this feature, the players will have to own an account for Xbox Live or Playstation Network.
Exclusively for Nintendo Wii players, Sims 3 could be played in the new city on a beach, this being replaced by unique characters, with careers, habbits and dreams. Players will be encouraged to explore the new city and to discover it’s mysteries.
The Nintendo DS version allows full home personalization, gamers having the option to change the decoration, objects or even the face, hair, clothes of their own avatar. In “Story Mode”, players on Nintendo DS will control multiple Sims from the same family.
