Even since the beginning of March there were rumors according to which the director of the ” The Incredibles” movie, Brad Bird, was in discussions with Paramount Studios regarding the third Mission Impossible sequel.
It looks like negotiations are coming to an end, the last aspects are concerning Bird’s salary for directing this movie. According to the Vulture site, if the time dedicated to directing an action movie is short, then the salary will be higher.
Ruben Fleischer, director of Zombieland was also considered to direct this movie, however he opted to direct 30 Minutes or Less instead.
In this sequel, which Paramount wants to release on May 2011, will also star Tom Cruise.
So, it looks like this franchise will have a strong comeback which also implies a strong script. A bold project like this needs one…
