After at the end of last month Martin Scorsese said that he is interested by the 3D technology, here comes other news: his next movie, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, will be made with the help of the 3D Technology.
Based on Brian Selznick’s movie and with a script written by John Logan, The Invention of Hugo Cabaret will be shot in London. The release will be on December 2011.
The book, an movie, follows the adventures of Hugo ( Asa Butterfiel ) a 12 years old orphan that lives between of Paris’s train station walls and looks after it’s mechanical clocks.
One of Hugo’s most valuable possessions is a broken mechanical man, a device that looks like a man, holding a pen in his hand, as if he was ready to deliver a message of huge importance. Hugo is convinced that, if he repairs the mechanical man, it will be able to write the message.
In order for the repair to be successful, the boy steals toys from a store, an his adventures will also be about a mission notebook, of one extremely familiar drawing and the magic of silent films. George Melies, famous for the Le Voyage dans la lune from 1902 also appears in Hugo’s destiny.
Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen and Chloe Moretz were also cast in this movie.
