U.S. Tv star Larry King and his seventh wife announced, on Wednesday that they filled for divorce, ending a 13 years relationship.
Larry King was married to seven different women, however this will be his eight divorce because he remarried once one of his ex wives.
One of Larry King’s spokesmen said that the CNN star asked to divorce Shawn Southwick, a 50 years old woman and the mother of two.
” His main concern is the welfare of his children and other than that he will not make any comment regarding this divorce” said Howard Rubenstein, Larry’s lawyer.
A few minutes after Larry King’s lawyers filled the divorce papers, Southwick’s lawyers also did the same thing, at a court in Los Angeles.
Dennis Wasser, one of King’s lawyers, said that the star wants this divorce to be a friendly one.
In his divorce claim, Larry King asked for joint custody over their two children, while Shawn Southwick asked for sole custody.
He is the host of the ” Larry King Live ” show, aired by CNN, in which many celebrities and political personalities are invited. Larry often allows viewers to phone in to ask questions to his guests.
