The people over at the Los Angeles Time got their hands on the polls that measures in the United States, the interest for the premiere of a specific movie, and the numbers for Iron Man 2 are just amazing.
It looks like these are better than the ones for The Dark Knight, the movie that made in the debut weekend, in 2008, no less than 158 million dollars in US alone.
Iron Man 2, just like the Dark Knight, is also a sequel, which means that the public is familiar with the superhero. We have to say that the first Iron Man movie did not had the buzz of a sequel and even so, it grossed no less than 98 million dollars in the first weekend.
The most interested people in this new movie are the people with age until 30. But it looks like the Robert Downey Jr. charm will bring Iron Man 2 an unexpected audience: woman of over 30 years. It appears that the only group of audience not so interested with Iron Man 2 are teen age girls, they are probably waiting for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
If we look at the Iron Man 2 cast, it’s not a surprise that this movie is so expected by fans. Let’s only mention Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, Gwyneth Paltrow. This seems like a golden crew capable of making each movie a success.
