American actress Dixie Carter, nominated at the Emmy awards for her role in the ” Desperate Housewives ” Tv show died Saturday, at the age of 70.
The actress’s spokesman did not revealed the cause of death.
Dixie Carter, born in Tennessee, because famous because of the Julia Sugarbaker role in the “Designing Women” Tv show, aired by CBS between 1986 and 1993. She also starred in sitcoms like “Family Law”, “Filthy Rich” and “Different Strokes”
Dixie Carter married actor Hal Holbrook in 1984. The couple starred together in Dixie’s last project, the independent movie “That Evening Sun”.
