XP Mode does not require hardware visualization anymore

Do you remember XP Mode? That well thought thing, for the Windows 7 Professional operating systems what allowed you to run older, incompatible software.

XP Mode was basically a free XP Professional Full license, along with Virtual Machine 2007 for users with “complete” versions.  It did not require separate booting, and software in Xp Mode were also available in Windows 7 start menu.

The hardest part about XP Mode is that it required, until recently, hardware visualization. Users who had processors incompatible could have run Xp MOde, even on Windows 7 Professional / Enterprise / Ultimate.

Last year I read about a software the visualized an operating system without actually viewing the processor. Microsoft has found a solution to make this happen for Xp Mode.

Now, any user who runs at least Windows 7 Professional will be able to run XP Mode.
