Ashutosh Rege, technological development director of Nvidia answered the accusations made by AMD regarding the PhysX technology, without insulting their rivals, as it’s most recently common between the two companies.
Nvidia answered AMD’s accusations which stated that Nvidia is bribing their partners to use in their application the PhysX technology. Ashutosh Rege, said that Nvidia is helping producers implement PhysX, using a software development by his company. However, he wanted to underline the fact that they never influenced the partners decision to use PhysX or any other technology they hold.
” There is no deal according to which we offer money for the use of PhysX” he siad for X-bit Labs. ” Nvidia cannot force games developers to use PhysX, but we are helping them if they chose to do so. More important than thay, nVidia does not influence in any way the performances for non-Nvidia gaming cards.”
Surprisingly, the executive admitted that PhysX is not a very important issue for games developers when a partnership is made. ” After all, we sell GPU’s not PhysX” said Ashutosh Rege.
