Famous actor Matt Damon received the 24th award awarded by the American Cinematheque to thouse who made a name for themselves in the world of the movies. The award was handed over to him by his oldest friend, Ben Affleck. The event took place Saturday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Along with his friends and family, there were also present Robin Williams, Charlize Theron, Casey Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Clint Eastwood.
Damon also won an Oscar in 1998 for the script of the Good Will Hunting movie that he wrote with his friend Ben Affleck. The actor become famous after he starred in the Ocean’s and Bourne franchises.
The American Cinemajtheque award is given each year to an actor, director or script writer that significantly contributed to the development of american cinematheque.
