The famous actress, Julia Roberts, will play the leading role in a new movie inspired by Green Day’s American Idiot album, and it will be directed by Tom Hanks.
Also, there is even is musical made with the plays on this album. The show tells the story of how three teenagers from an American town matured. One joins the Army, the second one moves to a bigger city and the third one stays in his home town, waiting to become a father.
The musical was released in 2009, in Berkley, home city of the Green Day band and will also arrive on Broadway on April 20.
The “American idiot” album, Green Day’s seventh album, released in 2004, was sold in more than 12 million copies world wide and won two Grammy awards.
