Picnik is one of the most popular image processing online application. Now, Picnik is owned by Google, who decided to buy it.
Picnik first appeared in 2005, and two years later it was chosen by Yahoo for image editing on Flickr. The purchase of this service by Google, is not meaningless. It will probably be integrated with Google’s photo sharing service, Picasa Web.
For the moment, there will be no major changes on Picnik. Photo editing hosted on Flickr will be made using Picnik. In the future, it will probably be implemented in Picasa.
