According to a HitWise report, Facebook has become more popular than Google ( In the United States ) for the first time for a week.
According to the research, during week 7 – 13 March, Facebook outgrown Google in audience, becoming the most popular web site in the USA. This is not a first, Facebook managed to do this last year, on Christmas Eve, the first day of Christmas and on New Year’s Eve, when more users went online on Facebook to sent greetings to their loved ones.
Number of visits to Facebook grew during 6-7 march with 185%, compared to the same time of the year, last year, while visits to Google only grew with 9%.
FaceBook and Google have attracted 14% of the total internet traffic in the United states, last weekend.
